Who We Are

Kevin & Lena are former missionaries to Russia. We served with Mennonite Brethren Mission and Service International and Christian Camping International/Russia. Kevin, formerly of Winnipeg, served in Russia with Kingdom Ventures Inc. from 1993 through 1999. After six years of dividing ministry time between Canada & Russia, he moved to Russia in March 1999 to live & work there full-time. In April 1999, he married Lena (whom he met in April 1998 when she was his interpreter). At the same time, Lena's daughter Sonia (now age 18) became part of this new family unit. Lena had been training interpreters at a university in Omsk (Siberia) as well as translating & over-dubbing television programs for a local TV station. On January 1, 2000, Kevin & Lena joined MBMSI. On September 27, 2000 Salomaya joined the Hamm family. Finally, Deena completed the clan on October 22, 2003. Kevin is a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Newton, Manitoba.
